  • Fixed errors related to the calculation of Average Approach Phase Times for Signal Coordination.
  • Fixed a bug related to the order of presentation of back of queue data for Roundabout Metering.
  • Fixed a bug related to inconsistent display of Roundabout Metering signal timing in some Reports and Displays.
  • Fixed the Network Configuration dialog so a Site can be rotated to any angle.

Version 9.1.4.116

Release Date: 13 February 2023

Enhancements
  • The embedded browser component used for Floating Licensing has been updated.
  • If Floating Licence authentication via a Proxy Server is required, it can now be done via NTLM (Windows Authentication) instead of only Basic Authentication.
  • Improvements to User Guide and Help.
Bug Fixes
  • In some cases, queue calculation resulted in very large and incorrect values for certain roundabout Sites. This was due to a problem with Queue Move-up Rate calculations. This has been fixed.
  • Extra Bunching value changes at roundabout approaches due to upstream signals now follow a more gradual trend with increasing distance.
  • Fixed a problem related to calculation of Extra Bunching at roundabout approaches due to an upstream signalised intersection at short spacing.
  • Incorrect value of Degree of Saturation was calculated for a roundabout approach with no demand (zero) flow rate for all movements on the approach while the approach had Extra Bunching. This has been fixed.
  • Fixed some cases where the Phase Frequency parameter was not being correctly considered in signal timing analysis.
  • Fixed the effect of "Ignore Short Lane" on the Roundabout Capacity parameter.
  • Fixed some incorrect rounding in the Way Capacity and Lane Capacity parameters for roundabout approaches.
  • Previously, for cases with Short Lanes on the approach controlled by metering signals, Short Lane Capacity was calculated using the approach roundabout capacity rather than the Short Lane Capacity for Metering Signals. This has been fixed.
  • Fixed a case where overflow queue for a short lane was not included in queue reporting.
  • The correct model calibration parameter (the Lane Utilisation Ratio for SIDRA Standard model) was not used for metered lane capacity calculations. This has been fixed.
  • In some cases, the program encountered an error when a slip lane or bypass lane had zero traffic demand. This has been fixed.
  • Fixed a case where incorrect Signal Coordination Lane Capacity values were reported.
  • Fixed a display error related to the Format Text Font dialog used with Site Note.

Version 9.1.3.108

Release Date: 23 September 2022

Enhancements
  • An important enhancement to the Floating Licence system has been implemented. The login process now opens the Floating Licence login page in the user's default web browser instead of inside the application. This supports user identification (authentication) through Single Sign-On (SSO) integration with an Identity Provider (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID, formerly known as Azure AD). Previously, SSO (if configured) opened in an embedded browser within the application.
  • When the Proxy Server Authentication dialog appears, users now have the option to save their Proxy Server credentials. If saved, the credentials will be applied automatically when the dialog is next shown, and the user only needs to confirm.
  • User Report Template and User Report Category features have been improved. Templates created in an earlier software version no longer cause a program error when the software is updated.
  • Improvements to User Guide and Help.
Bug Fixes
  • Average delay values reported for the Approach in the case of Roundabout Metering were not correct. This has been fixed.
  • Previously, if Extra Bunching was applied at a roundabout entry, and the entry had a Short Lane, the Short Lane was not using the correct entry capacity. This has been fixed.
  • Fixed a problem related to the Move-Up Rate used for queue calculation when the demand flow rate is zero.
  • Fixed a case where the Overflow Queue for a Short Lane at a roundabout entry was calculated as a negative value.
  • Corrected the Green Time value for Give-Way Controlling Movement in the Roundabout Metering Report. This was a reporting issue that did not affect any calculations.
  • The Queue Distance Display now shows separate short lane and continuous lane queues in the case of Roundabout Metering.
  • Fixed errors in the Queue Display for some cases of Roundabout Metering.
  • Network Route Travel Time results are now reported for Roundabout Metering Sites.
  • Fixed an error with Network processing that resulted in zero platoon ratio at roundabout approaches with Midblock Signals upstream.
  • Fixed a problem related to the selection of Route ID in the Network Configuration dialog.
  • Fixed a problem with sorting in some output tables (Sites, Networks) of the Project Summary when there are more than 9 Sites.
  • The output table for the Way (Entry) parameters was not displaying values correctly in some cases where a movement in the dominant lane on a roundabout approach had zero volume. This was a display issue only and did not affect any results. This has been fixed.
  • Version 9.0 Project files that contained Network Phasing could not be opened in Version 9.1. This has been fixed.
  • Fixed a problem that occurred when the Windows Display Scale was set to 350%.
  • Fixed a problem that occurred with an empty Notes panel.
  • Fixed a case where the Gap Acceptance dialog could not be opened for a Stop (TWSC) Site when Signal Coordination was set up for the Site.
  • The Copy Approach function was not copying lane disciplines for the origin approach correctly. This has been fixed.
  • Some dialog boxes did not display correctly if the user had set up a non-standard font size or non-standard font type in Windows Display settings. This has been fixed.

  • A new Roundabout Metering Report with comprehensive information about the metering signals is now available.
  • Improvements to various dialogs.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a problem related to the Move-Up Rate used for queue calculation at Roundabout Metering sites. The queue estimation method for Roundabout Metering is described in the User Guide.
  • The metering effect on other approaches was not always correctly calculated for Roundabout Metering sites in a Network. This has been fixed.
  • Fixed some errors in the Roundabout Metering queue displays.
  • Corrections to Signal Coordination in some Network cases where the subject Site had variable phasing and the upstream Site was a roundabout.
  • Fixed errors related to display of results for some Special Movement Classes.
  • Fixed a problem with opening of project files created by previous releases.
  • Fixed an error that occurred with some Site types when Volumes were exported.
