Version 10

All updates to SIDRA INTERSECTION 10, starting with the most recent release.

Version 10.0.9.250

Release Date: 9 February 2026

This is the latest release of SIDRA INTERSECTION 10.

Enhancements
  • Improvement to Proxy Server authentication when using a Floating Licence.
  • Arterial Segments and Freeway Segments between signalised Sites are now included in platoon modelling.
  • A new error check has been introduced to ensure that a user-given phase time is greater than the phase intergreen time. This prevents possible processing errors that had been reported in some cases where this condition had not been met.
  • Improved modelling of shared lanes on an approach with stop or give way control where one of the movements in the lane has no opposing flow.
  • Enhancements have been made to the handling of the Detailed Output so that Version 10 will work properly with output from future SIDRA versions.
  • File saving in the SIDRA API has been improved and specification of the full file path is no longer required.
  • Improvements to User Guide and Help.
Bug Fixes
  • A problem with calculation of Percent Arriving During Green and Progression Factors in some Networks has been fixed. This may have led to overly optimistic or pessimistic results for the affected Sites and possible effects on upstream lane blockages.
  • An unusual case where a Route went through the same Site more than once may have caused a program crash.
  • Incorrect high values of queue estimates were given for roundabouts when the HCM Delay Formula option was selected.
  • A calculation error related to problems with effective green time calculations has been fixed.
  • In some cases at signalised intersections where movements in a shared lane do not run at the same time, the movement effective green time before being blocked was overestimated.
  • The Layout Display did not match the specified lane disciplines in an unusual case with User Movement Classes.
  • Output parameter values were not being shown in Network Approach Displays.
  • "Program" setting for Minor Phase Actuation was not being shown in the Site Input Report and Input Comparison.
  • Volume totals shown in the Input Volumes Display Summary Table were not correct.
  • Fixed the precision of volume calculations in Site Volume Bins.
  • The Quick Input feature in the Network Demand and Sensitivity dialog was incorrectly applying settings to All Networks in All Folders when "All Networks in Current Folder" was selected.
  • Fixed an issue where output reports would freeze if the display scale was changed on one monitor in a multi-monitor system while SIDRA INTERSECTION was open.
  • The Network Approach Distance display did not update correctly when Site positions were changed using Modify Network.
  • Fixed an incorrect description of the queue selection in the User Setup dialog.

  • Lane Changes are now shown regardless of any differences between upstream and downstream flow values.
  • Timing outputs for Roundabout Metering are now calculated and reported as real number values.
  • For Roundabout Metering cases, all short lanes on the Metered leg are now treated as being controlled by the metering signals.
  • Improved the format of the Actuated Signal Information table in the Detailed Output to allow for more than two green periods.
  • Changes to leg geometry are blocked if a Site has any links to Volume Bins.
  • Site and Network rotation functions are disabled if a Site has any links to Volume Bins.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed some errors in calculation of average travel speed by Movement Class. Also corrected the impact of Extra Midblock Delay on travel time and travel speed in some outputs.
  • Extra Bunching was not being correctly applied on some roundabout entries.
  • Fixed an error with calculation of Lane Changes in cases where there were Midblock Inflows or Outflows.
  • Fixed a problem that caused underestimation of capacity reduction due to queues overflowing from short lanes in some cases.
  • Fixed some cases where non-integer phase times summed to the Network Cycle Time but were not applied in Network analysis.
  • The error check which disallows user-given phase times with variable phasing was not working. This condition led to a program crash and the error check has been reinstated.
  • Saturation flows for some cases of slip lanes with multiple green periods were not allocated to the correct green period. This led to incorrect capacity estimation for these lanes.
  • Lane Width adjustment to saturation flow for low angle slip/bypass lanes was not working.
  • The Apply Saturation Flow Estimation parameter was blocked for Freeway and Arterial Segment Site Types. It has now been made available. Clarification of the estimation method has been included in the User Guide.
  • Controlling Approach Saturation Flow Rate for the red period was missing in the Roundabout Metering Report.
  • Pedestrian Analysis report is now blocked if there are no pedestrians at a roundabout or sign-controlled Site. Errors relating to opening a report when only one stage exists on a roundabout leg have been fixed.
  • Fixed an error in reported movement delay values for AWSC Sites when the HCM Delay Model option was used.
  • Fixed a problem with entering Site coordinates in SIDRA Maps when the Windows Region was set for some countries that use comma as the decimal separator.
  • When a new Route was created, the Sites in the Route did not appear immediately in the list under SITES ON ROUTE.
  • Route Selection in the Project Pane was lost when the Route Time-Distance display was opened.
  • Site/CCG ID was not shown correctly in Network Input Comparison.
  • Fixed a User Interface error related to empty folders in Site Volume Bins.

  • The Lane Geometry dialog had a bug that prevented changing Lane Control from Continuous to Give Way.
  • In some cases, SIDRA INTERSECTION project files could not be opened from shared network folders.
  • Merging of two Networks which both had CCGs was not set up correctly and led to errors in the Define CCGs dialog for the merged Network.
  • Fixed an error that occurred when viewing output reports belonging to a merged Network.
  • Fixed an error that occurred when printing a Site Layout picture via the button in Print-Preview.
  • The Site icon displayed for Arterial Segment Sites in the Movement Displays was incorrect.

  • Fixed an error that occurred when right-clicking on an Input Report.
  • The function "Select Site (Deselect Others)" in the right-click menu when clicking on a Site in the Network Layout is now disabled unless the Layout corresponds to the currently selected Network and only one Network is selected in the Network list in the Project Pane.

Version 10.0.5.217

Release Date: 17 April 2025

Bug Fixes
  • A bug that led to a user interface error when opening the Volumes dialog for All-Way Stop Control, Arterial Segment and Freeway Basic Segment Sites has been fixed.

Version 10.0.4.216

  • In the Roundabouts dialog, a leg can now be selected by clicking in the in-dialog Layout display.
  • Improvements have been made to several Network Template layout pictures.
  • The default Model Level for Floating Licences has been changed to Network. This will assist with software deployment for larger users.
  • Unique ID checks are no longer case sensitive, e.g. 2a and 2A will be considered to be duplicate IDs.
  • Improvements to User Guide and Help.
Bug Fixes
  • A bug related to opening Project Files from a shared folder on a network server has been fixed.
  • Some values of Average Speed for both Sites and Networks were incorrectly calculated as higher than they should have been, particularly in congested cases. This affected reported speeds and Network Level of Service.
  • Incorrect values were reported for some components of delay in the Detailed Output – Lane Delays table.
  • A negative value of Movement Travel Time could be reported in rare cases for signalised Sites.
  • The TOR column in the Movement Timing Information table in the Timing Analysis Report was not indicating the Turn On Red periods correctly. The column has been removed and will be reinstated in a future update. The Turn On Red model calculations are not affected.

  • Fixed some bugs related to selection of Scenarios in the Site Scenarios and Network Scenarios dialogs.
  • When Sites, Networks or Routes were moved within the list in the Project Pane using ribbon commands or drag and drop, it was possible to close the Project File without being prompted to Save. This potentially led to loss of the changes.
